Obinna Akpuchukwu is a Founding Partner at Allen & Marylebone (Law Firm). He has practiced law in Nigeria for over a decade and has experience in various areas of law. He regularly renders legal advisory services to startups, SMEs and big conglomerates on different areas of law. He has acted as lawyer to top Sports Betting Companies in Nigeria on issues related to registration and regulatory compliance in the Gaming (Sports Betting) Industry. He has also represented gaming companies in court over disputes arising from betting claims by punters (bettors) and regulatory disputes with government agencies in their betting operations.

In addition to his works in Gaming law, Obinna is a go-to person in Insolvency, Intellectual property, Arbitration and Tax law issues. He has acted as a Liquidator and Receiver/Manager in different insolvency proceedings. He has also advised and represented clients in diverse civil disputes, including land, divorce and contract/commercial laws.

Obinna has a personal pet project of advocating for the rights of children. In this regard, he regularly takes up briefs involving child adoption, child custody and maintenance and other related child right issues.    

He is a member of the Business Recovery and Insolvency Practitioners Association of Nigeria (BRIPAN) and also an accredited Insolvency Practitioner by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). Furthermore, Obinna is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (NICARB).  In 2023, Obinna was elected the Legal Adviser II of the Onitsha Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ONICCIMA).
